Yubak School, Kathmandu

Este es Yubak. El colegio estatal donde empezamos a colaborar en 2010. Dimos clases de Ingles durante casi 4 meses, y desde entonces muchos voluntarios de TAI han pasado por este lugar. En 2011, TAI hizo una donacion para ayudarles a terminar la contruccion de las nuevas aulas. HAce casi 10 anyos que empezaron las obras pero el presupuesto estatal nunca era suficiente para seguir con ellas: forzando a los alumnos de los ultimos cursos marchar a otros colegios, mucho mas lejos de sus casas. Dos anyos despues hemos podido comprobar los advances. Por fin hay cuatro aulas mas en uso!

This is Yubak. We started our volunteer work with this government school back in 2010 – we taught English for almost 4 months. Since then many other TAI volunteers helped the school. IN 2011, TAI made a donation to help finish the construction of the new classrooms. They started building some new classrooms almost 10 years ago, but due to the lack of Government investment, students from the last standards were forced to leave early and find a different school, a very long walk away from their houses. Two years later, we are happy to see that they have been able to build 4 news classes for the children!
